The standard reflector is dichroic
which allows some of the
heat and yellow light through the back of the reflector. The aluminum
reflector projects all light and heat forward. Customers who have
aluminum and order dichroic say the dichroic looks pink or blue
compared to their existing lights. Customers who have dichroic and
order aluminum replacements usually say the aluminum is more yellow.
Generally the lamp is dichroic unless aluminum is specified on the lamp
and it is usually designated by AL or ALU on the reflector.
